Buskirk-Bridgette Marie Brown passed away peacefully on the the 9th of December, two thousand and seventeen in Hoosick Falls, New York. She was preceded in death by son David, brothers Sam, Rodrique, Leo, and Benjamin, and husband Richard. She is survived by siblings Jan, Vincent and Lucy, children Stephen, Catherine, and Cynthia, grandchildren Christina, Barbara, Aarron, and Benjamin, and great grandchildren, Stephen and Hope.

On her family farm in Presque Isle, Maine, Bridgette met her future husband, Richard Brown. They would be married on October first, nineteen fifty five. For over fifty years, Bridgette made a home, raised her children, and cared for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Bridgette was a care taker by nature, with what always seemed like an endless supply of love for her family and friends. There is not a time that one of her children or grandchildren came home for a visit and wasn't greeted with a big hug and an offer of something to eat. She constantly opened her doors and her heart to those who needed love most. She was always there with a warm smile and a laugh, even when things were tough, and whenever you needed it most. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
