Salem-Barbara Ann Danko of Route 22, Salem passed away at Saratoga Hospital on Wednesday, May 10, 2017. She was 84.
Born in Troy on December 13, 1932, daughter of the late James and Gladys (Jones) Foy. She is the wife of William S. Danko, Sr., whom she married on July 28, 1951.
Barbara attended St. Patrick's School in Troy, and went on to graduate from Troy High School. She was a parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Salem.
Survivors in addition to her husband, William include their children, Susan (Maurice) Jeanson of Porter Corners, Mark (Terry) Danko of East Greenbush, William (Hinda) Danko, Jr. of Salem, Gail (Wayne) Cardner of Scarborough, ME, Heidi (Mark) Mahay of Saratoga Springs and Dawn (Dan) LeClair of Salem, her sister, Ruth Reed of Watervliet, her grandchildren, Carrie Columbo, Melissa Guillaume, Daniel Jeanson, Matthew Jeanson, Brian Jenson, Amanda Fernandez, Brittany Danko, Melissa Niedhammer, Robert Danko, Kim–Leigh Danko, Catie–An Seavey, Philip Passino, Chelsea Cardner, Edward Mahay, Misty Mahay, Mark Mahay, Jr., Aleisha LeClair and Cody LeClair. Also survived by her 22 great grandchildren.
She is predeceased by a son, Martin Danko as well as her siblings.
Relatives and friends may call from 5-7 pm on Friday, May 12, 2017 at the McClellan-Gariepy Funeral Home, Inc., 19 East Broadway Salem. Funeral Mass will be conducted on Saturday at 9 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 249 Main Street, Salem with The Very Rev. Martin Fisher officiating.
Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Salem.
