Cambridge, NY - Audrey Jane (Motsiff) McCauley Moon, 87, of Cambridge, NY, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 15, 2026.

Audrey was born April 13, 1939 in Cambridge, NY. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Margaret (Morrison) Motsiff. Audrey graduated from Cambridge Central School in 1957 and then attended the Austin School of Cosmetology. After graduation, Audrey started her own hair salon in Shushan.

Audrey had many hobbies, but painting was something that she really enjoyed. She painted on all kinds of surfaces such as furniture, barn board, canvas, metal, and ceramics. She also loved flower gardening and her yard was full of beautiful blooms. Audrey also enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, knitting, and playing cards with friends. She was a member of a bowling league at the Cambridge Hotel and a member of the Shushan United Presbyterian Church, where she also taught Sunday School. Audrey was a very friendly and likable person. She was also a very generous person and was known to give the clothes off her back to someone in need.

She was predeceased by her son, Richard "Rick" McCauley, and her siblings, Marion Gibbons-Galbraith, Pauline Kyer, Harry "Tim" Motsiff, and William "Billy" Motsiff.

Survivors include her daughters, Dawn M. Maher of San Francisco, CA, Annette (Dan) Rivard of Edina, MN, son, Chad (Wendy) McCauley of Cambridge, NY, grandchildren, Ardi (Mehrak) Maher, Yasamin Maher, Jessie and Ethan McCauley, and Tyler and Ryan Rivard, one great grandchild, Hanna Maher, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will have a private funeral service followed by interment at the Woodlands Cemetery in Cambridge.
