Queensbury-Anne Agnes Philips, 101, formerly of Queensbury, passed away Wednesday morning, March 30, 2016 at the Washington Center in Argyle where she resided since last November.
Anne was born December 30, 1914 in New York City and was the daughter of William and Anna Louisa (Johnson) Hubbs.
She was educated in Elizabeth, NJ and grew up in Springfield, NJ. Her first husband, William H. Campbell passed away in 1975. She later married Chester Hoen Philips in 1990 and they moved to Saratoga to be closer to Anne's daughters. Chester passed away in 2000.
Anne was a homemaker, enjoyed shopping and loved elephants.
In addition to her two husbands, she was also predeceased by 3 sisters and 1 brother and a son-in-law, Howard Peney.
Anne is survived by her daughters, Ruth Ann "Scottie" Peney of Cossayuna and Susan (David) White of Ballston Lake. She also leaves behind 3 grandchildren, Kimberly Anne (David) Fenelon, Jennifer (Edward) Wallace and Kristine Pyers; 6 great grandchildren, Daniel & Kylie Fenelon, Mia & Sean Wallace, Kellie & Michael Pyers and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, April 7, 2016 at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville with Rev. Debbie Earthrowl officiating.
Memorial contributions in memory of Anne can be made to the Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
