Wayne R. Rizzo

Hebron-Wayne R. Rizzo, 66, of Hebron, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at his residence with his wife and son by his side.

Wayne was born June 4, 1952 in Rochester, NY the son of the late Angelo & Rosalie (Falzone) Rizzo.

He graduated from Lakeland Regional High School in Wanaque, NJ and attended the Art Students League in New York City.

Wayne worked at Nemer Ford in Queensbury as a Service Advisor for many years.  He then became a full time artist, a passion he loved.  `

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Koehler Rizzo.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 34 years, Leslie DeSimone Rizzo whom he married April 8, 1984; a son, Dominic (Samantha Skelly) Rizzo of Salem; twin daughters, Nicole & Santina; a special niece, Gillian Marie Catalfo (Mike) Hendrix; a niece, Sarah Tamburelli; nephews, Tim  & Chris Catalfo and Danny (Laney) Tamburelli; sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Laura & Tony Tamburelli; a special friend, Pat McCoy.

Wayne’s family wishes to thank Pat McCoy and also their friend and doctor, Marvin Day for all of their support during Wayne’s illness.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the Hebron United Presbyterian Church, 3153 County Route 30, West Hebron with Pastor Laura Mitchell officiating.  A reception will follow in the church hall.

Interment will be privately at Evergreen Cemetery in Salem.

Memorial contribution in memory of Wayne may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
