Eagle Bridge-Walter E. James, 69, of Eagle Bridge, passed away peacefully Friday morning December 27, 2019 under the care of his family and hospice.
Walter was born January 6, 1950 in Pulaski, Virginia, he was the son of Jessie Jackson James and Ruby Wells James.
Walter worked for the Town of Ocean City in Ocean City, Maryland in the impound lot for 22 years and also at the same time worked on a chicken farm. He retired in 1999 and moved to Eagle Bridge where he enjoyed the mountains and countryside.
He was a former member of the Ocean City Baptist Church. Walter loved working on lawn mowers, going fishing, playing pool and poker.
He is survived by his wife, Fay LeBarron James whom he married May 7, 1983; his daughter, Jessica (Michael) Woffenden of Eagle Bridge; his grandsons, James and Samuel Woffenden; siblings, Donald (Teri) James of Hobe Sound, FL, Charles (Carol) James of Laurel, DE, Kenneth Sifford of Tennessee, Peggy (Bobby) Mariner of Salisbury, MD, J.R. Sifford of Berlin, MD, Ralph James of Berlin, MD and Stuart (Christine) Sifford of Maryland; mother-in-law, Barbara LeBarron of Cambridge and many nieces and nephews.
The family will have a private service.
