Greenwich (Battenville)-Loretta Barbara Anne Johnson, 58, of Battenville, passed away suddenly Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at her residence.
Born July 12, 1960 in the Bronx, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Ray and Mildred Sharp. Loretta graduated from high school in the Bronx. She attended Hudson Valley Community College in Troy where she received her degree in criminal justice. She was currently working on her bachelor’s degree.
Loretta was a Floral Designer for many years in New York and New Jersey. She was an EMT in New Jersey at one time.
Loretta had a good sense of humor and would always be helping others in need. She was known to rescue animals. She loved to cook, knit, crochet, watch TV, especially CSI and the History Channel.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Laura Osborne Sharp.
She is survived by her two sons, Anthony and Jonathan Manoni, both of Greenwich; a step-daughter, Heather Johnson of Fort Edward; adopted sons, Norman Pailey and Alexander Wiss, both of Greenwich; grandchildren, Niya Marie Manoni, Daniel Wade Wiss, Eleanor Ann Wiss, Ryan Winterburn, Arianna Ross and Brent Birkheimer; brothers, Steven Sharp of New Jersey & Raymond Sharp of Kentucky.
Calling hours are from 12-5 pm Monday, August 6, 2018 at the family home, 2805 State Route 29, Greenwich.
