I only know of Charlotte through letters she wrote to my Aunt, Rosie Kelley, who served with her as a Marine at Cherry Point, NC. While recently sifting through the many letters that my Aunt Rosie wrote and received during their shared military experience in the mid 1940's, Charlotte's name was mentioned more than once.
My deepest sympathy goes out to Charlotte's family and my most sincere thanks for her service to our country and her friendship to my Aunt during and after their shared experiences during wartime.
Sincerely,
Thomas P Foran

Richard, Robert (Moon) and Sally,
Your Mom was a really good woman, hard working always busy woman .
To see she was in the memorial day parade this year a real HONOR for a
woman MARINE Makes me proud of her ,she is the only woman I know who was a
MARINE at her time, there were lots others in other branches of the service.
But she was special. She will be missed.
Moon, Glad to talk to you at the reunion ,and we did talk about your Mom.
Now both parents are not with you , but the loss goes on , memories make you smile.
So sorry for your. LOSS

Rich and Rob - Since kindergarten at CCS. I remember your Mom. The last time I saw she and your Dad they were visiting Woodlands Cemetery the same day I was. We had the best chat recalling many Cambridge memories together. I will always remember that conversation, it lasted almost an hour. Your parents were special people. Peace and prayers for both of you. Sincerely, Karen Dusha McKean, Duanesburg, NY.

So sorry for your loss. Charlotte was a very special lady. We have such warm memories of visiting her and "Cuz" on the farm. I will always remember her as a talented seamstress, making all the custom shirts and "otherwear" for George.

Happy Memories, fondly missed.

Richard, Robert and Sally,
We are so sorry for your loss. Charlotte was a wonderful loving woman. It was nice to be able to see her over the winter, and she remembered the boys. I asked her what was the one thing she wanted to eat, and she said popcorn. I searched high and low for popcorn she would be able to eat and brought it to her. She ate one and took a nap. I hope it made her day, I know popcorn was a big thing in your family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you
