Nancy E. (Regan) Patten

West Cambridge-Nancy E. Patten, 83, of West Cambridge, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.
Nancy was born in Wrentham, Massachusetts on November 10, 1933 and was the daughter of Thomas J. and B. Rachel Regan. She was a 1951 graduate of Wrentham High School.
She worked in the medical field most of her life and was a devoted member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church for 51 years. She was very active with St. Martha's Guild, The Vestry, The Gloria Palmer Fund and The Seaman's Institute. She was a dedicated friend and neighbor who always extended herself to those in need. Her great joy was her grandchildren and the wonderful trips they took together, her great grandchildren, gardening and baking.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Donald in 1982, her sister Betty and brother George. She is survived by her daughter, Linda O'Connell of Stockbridge, MA, her son Donald (Eileen) Patten of Cambridge and daughter Jennifer (Sydney) McLean of Greenwich.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Regan Patten, Keya (Alex) Porter, Jessica (Dylan) Lynn, Rachel (Jeremy) Alexander and Zachary Hand; her great grandchildren, Wyatt and Bremen Lynn and Vaila Frances Porter, a brother,  Thomas Regan of Edison, NJ and many nieces and nephews, all of whom were very much a part of her life.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 4 St. Luke’s Place in Cambridge. A reception will follow at the church rectory.
There will be no calling hours. 
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beaver Cross Camp for Children at Christ the King Spiritual Life Center, 575 Burton Road, Greenwich, NY  12834 or the charity of your choice.
