Cambridge-Mary A. Kelder, 89, of Cambridge, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017 in the comfort of her home under the care of her family and Community Hospice.

Mary was born October 15, 1927 in Montgomery, NY and was the daughter of the late Cyril and Margaret (Conroy) Yearwood.

Mary was a 1947 graduate of Cornwall Central School and attended business school in Newburgh earning a certificate.

Mary was a Stenographer at Firth Carpet Co. in Firthcliffe, NY.  She then assisted on the family farm on Sarah Wells Trail in Washingtonville, NY and she became a homemaker caring for her family.  Mary was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Mary was a member of St. Thomas of Canterbury Church in Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY and was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Rita #264. 

In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband, Graham E. Kelder, Sr.; a sister & brother-in-law, Margaret & Ralph Edwards; a nephew, Ralph Edwards, III.

Mary is survived by her children, Margaret L. Kelder and spouse, Melissa Devine of Cambridge, NY, Graham E. Kelder, Jr. and his wife, Regina McEnery of Cambridge, MA and Anne M. Barriel (late husband, William Barriel) of New Paltz, NY.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Daniel Barriel and his wife Carole, Joshua Barriel, Nathaniel Barriel and Rachel Barriel; a niece, Cheryl Herman and her husband Paul of Tampa, FL, many cousins and their families from Montgomery, NY; a niece & nephew, Patricia & Robert Ramer and their son David Ramer and his wife Laurita of Florida and dear friend, Patricia Pierce from Otisville, NY.

Many thanks to all of her loving caregivers at the Cambridge Guest Home (The Mansion), The Cambridge, Community Hospice, home aides and friends.

Calling hours will be Friday, September 22, 2017 from 4-7 pm at the Ackley, Ross & Gariepy Funeral Home, 73 West Main St., Cambridge.

Mary will return to her hometown of Cornwall, NY where additional calling hours and a funeral mass will be held under the direction of the Lulves Funeral Home, Cornwall, NY.

Memorial contributions in memory of Mary may be made to the Cambridge Valley Rescue Squad, 37 Gilbert St., Cambridge, NY  12816 or Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY  12866.
