PLANO, TX – Jacqueline Rogers Urbanczyk 65 of Plano, TX formerly of Salem, NY entered the Heavenly Kingdom surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, July 23rd.  Jackie was born to the late Clifford and Nancy Lytle Rogers in Cambridge, NY.  She was married to her best friend, Rick Urbanczyk, for 42 years.

Jackie was a 1970 graduate of Washington Academy of Salem Central School. She graduated from the State University of New York at Fredonia with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1974 followed by a Masters of Business Administration Degree from Canisius College of Buffalo in 1978.

Jackie worked for Union Carbide for several years and then worked in an executive capacity for IBM for 35 years.

Most of all Jackie enjoyed spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. She enjoyed sports, both as a participant and fan. She was an avid reader who enjoyed family games which brought her much laughter.

Jackie was an advocate working closely with the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition. She was a leading fundraiser in the run/walk to Break the Silence on ovarian cancer.  She spoke eloquently at the survivors teaching doctors program, educating medical professions on the patient’s perspective on Ovarian Cancer. In a final act of selflessness, Jackie donated her remains to the Willed Body Program for cancer research.

Jackie is survived by her loving husband Rick Urbanczyk of Plano, TX, her 2 daughters – Kathryn (Sean) Baker of Denver, CO, Kristen (Joshua) Eddings of Mabelvale, AR; 3 grandchildren – Ethan and Winter Baker and Everett Eddings; 3 sisters and 1 brother – Carol Rogers of Schenectady, NY, Tom (Cindy) Rogers of Hebron, NY, Lori (Glenn) Stokem of Salem, NY, Karen (Socrates) Fronhofer of Salem, NY, sister and brother-in-law Phil and Carol Urbanczyk Spaeth of PA and many nieces and nephews.  Jackie was predeceased by her parents Clifford and Nancy Lytle Rogers of Hebron, NY.
